There’s another reason for the presence of Vulpes vulpes, though: the Mayfair Townhouse is the fifth instalment from the country-chic Iconic Luxury Hotels group, which includes Cliveden House, Chewton Glen and the Lygon Arms, and the fox is as at home in the capital as it is in the countryside.
